WELCOME!

I am so excited to invite you to submit to the choreography contest for my single "Hold Your Shoulders Back"! This contest is open to dancers and movement artists of all disciplines. I am looking for choreography that embodies the spirit of empowerment and self-expression featured in the song.

FULL SONG ENTRIES (4:43)

  1. No fee to enter!
     

  2. Create Your Choreography: Listen to "Hold Your Shoulders Back" and create a solo or group routine that reflects the song's message.
     

  3. Record Your Performance: Film yourself or your group performing the choreography. Ensure the video is high-quality and showcases your choreo clearly.
     

  4. Upload and Share: Upload your video to Youtube. Post your video on Instagram with hashtag #HYSBchoreo and tag @nectar.moth and @wakefulascentaerial in your post.
     

  5. Submit Your Entry by June 30th: Fill out the entry form.

MINI ENTRIES (~30-120 seconds)

  1. No fee to enter!
     

  2. Create Your Choreography: Listen to "Hold Your Shoulders Back" and create a solo or group routine 30-90 seconds long that reflects the song's message.
     

  3. IMPORTANT: Post your video on Instagram with hashtag #HYSBchoreo and tag @nectar.moth and @wakefulascentaerial in your post so we can reshare to stories.
     

  4. Submit/post anytime through June 30th.
     

  5. When posting, please overlay the video with the song rather than using original audio.
     

  6. All entries will be reposted to stories as long as safe rigging practices are demonstrated!

JUDGING CRITERIA FOR FULL SONG SUBMISSIONS

  • Creativity: Originality and uniqueness of the choreography.

  • Technical skill & movement quality.

  • Expression: How well the choreography conveys the song’s message of empowerment and self-expression.

  • Depth: performer(s)' level of engagement with the concepts, choreography, and song.
