Shaun’s opening set is a cinematic journey through the cosmos, moving from the scale of galaxies toward the living Earth. Original compositions, layered soundscapes, and live looping expand the cello into an orchestral world, while projected imagery gives the journey a visual life.

Violet Wing is a near-complete album that imagines looking back at Earth after all is lost, returning to the often unnoticed human and non-human lives and landscapes unfolding here. Through song, cello, field recordings, imagery, and aerial dance, Særa holds grief and wonder together. The work is an elegy for a changing world and an invitation to notice, love, and protect what is still here.

Særa Fiøra is a vocalist, songwriter, and aerialist whose cinematic performances bring voice, movement, and imagery into a shared world. Rooted in the Eastern Sierra, her work attends to ecological loss and to the singular lives and landscapes that endure within it. She is drawn to humanity’s capacity for both beauty and destruction, and to the question of how we keep noticing, loving, and protecting the world in front of us.

Shaun Diaz is a composer and master cellist with eight albums, principal cellist for a traveling orchestra, and a faculty member of Möbius Leadership. With 35 years of experience and a degree in Cello Performance from CU, he builds intricate real-time soundscapes through the art of live looping, spanning classical, cinematic, jazz, and beyond.
